How my journey began

Elizabeth Wilson is a memoir writer, coach, podcaster, and mom living in Colorado. Prior to her evolution as a writer, she worked as a Forensic Scientist in crime laboratories across the country.

When her world was turned upside down, Elizabeth turned to writing to sort through her feelings, retrace her steps, and figure out what to do next. Career changes, sobriety, and divorce took Elizabeth down paths she never saw coming.

After starting her memoir manuscript, she connected with another local writer, Stephanie. Each at their own crossroads, Stephanie and Elizabeth decided to join forces and launched their writing community, the Inspired Writer Collective, in December of 2023.

The Inspired Writer Collective is the home of a weekly podcast, available on YouTube and all the major podcast listening apps, as well as courses and virtual community gatherings to support fellow writers navigating their publishing journeys.

With a passion for helping other writers along their unique paths, Elizabeth translates her knowledge in writing memoir through her small group memoir course offered several times a year. She also uses her expert knowledge in forensics to help writers fine tune their crime novels for realistic but compelling story lines.
